This view of the Dining Room at Soho House, the former home of industrialist Matthew Boulton (1728-1809)was taken in 1927 by Lewis and Randall. By this date the house was being used as a hotel and this room as a sitting room. The original chimneypiece can be seen in the photograph in a poor state of repair. It was later removed. A reproduction was added as part of the restoration of Soho House prior to its opening as a museum.
